Welcome to Burncoose Estate – formerly known as Burncoose House – where timeless luxury meets modern comfort.

We have half a dozen stunning properties nestled within 30 acres of mature woodland gardens, all perfectly prepped and polished to create your ideal countryside escape.

“While renovating each property the focus has always been home comfort in keeping with the age of the property, but with a contemporary twist. New fully equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms and superior quality beds are essential to create a luxurious feel and a comfortable stay.

Our good friends Jo – Peggie@jjpinteriordesign.com – and Hilly – Reed@hillyreed.com – have helped enormously with all the colour schemes and soft furnishings throughout. The furniture and light fittings are a mix of old and new from a variety of sources, including recycling furniture from house clearance and antique shops which have mostly been found in London and driven down.” – Sara Williams, Owner of Burncoose Estate.

Allow us to give you a flying tour of our beautiful holiday accommodation.

Burncoose House

This beautiful, seven-bedroom Georgian manor combines tradition with all the modern comforts to host up to 14 guests within its luxurious and historical walls. Get lost wandering between grand libraries, drawing rooms and through the Burncoose Gardens themselves – you’ll always find your way back to the modern kitchen and dining space at the heart of the home.

The relaxing rural setting compliments the home and its amenities, creating a truly unique experience and making a space as suited to parties of friends and family reunions as it is for memorable celebrations, and picturesque weddings.

“The starting point for Burncoose House was the central light in the hall which was found at the Battersea Decorative Arts Fair, it apparently came from an Italian castle and features 5 Phoenix, which is the Williams family crest and the large rug that my Mother gave us as she was moving house, this inspired the bespoke runner for the staircase which we had the wools dyed to match.” – Sara Williams

Stable Flats One & Two

Two sister converted stables, fully refurbished and transformed into cosy properties full of character, which honour the history of our grounds. One property hosts a single bedroom, whilst the other has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four guests – both properties are dog-friendly, meaning the whole family can enjoy a getaway in a classically Cornish locale, no matter the size of your household.

Allow the traditional cobbled stone look to transport you away from the challenges of daily life, whilst the modern kitchen/diner and full compliment of amenities mean you don’t have to compromise on comfort.

The Coach House

As you’re ushered through the stable doors of The Coach House, it’s impossible not to get lost in the light and thoughtfully curated decor. Four en-suite bedrooms surround a central seating area, where you can enjoy unhurried suppers after a day’s sightseeing.

On sunny evenings, outdoor seating on the rear terrace plays hosts to summer barbecues, whilst the conservatory space is the perfect spot to unwind with a book, regardless of the weather. The Coach House is more than equipped to become your dream home-away-from-home.

Treweege Barns – Gilly and Burnfoot

Tucked away next to Treweege Farm you will find Gilly and Burnfoot, neighbouring barn conversions that are the epitome of country luxury. Natural light pours in through tall-standing windows and cutesy bedroom doors which open onto acres of gardens and incomparable views.

Found two miles outside of the beautiful villages of Stithians and Lanner, up to 11 people (and a few well-behaved four-legged friends) can explore the county together before returning to the utterly charming Treweege Barns.

Renovation in Progress – The Copper House

Sitting alongside The Coach House at the entry to Burncoose Estate is The Copper House, originally built in 1810 as the Estate Office when tin and copper mining was an important industry in the area. Now, this Grade 2 listed building is undergoing substantial renovation to become the newest member of Burncoose Estate, retaining the considerable mining history and character the property exudes and has developed over 2 centuries.

Restoration work is advancing – 21 different new roofs have now been restored and replacement chimneys rebuilt to retain the Copper House’s character. Over the next 18 months, a complete internal refurbishment will be undertaken to create our newest luxury staycation, including a majestic saferoom for entertaining. We weren’t expecting to find anything inside but our friends from times past kindly left us a single penny!

Keep checking in with Burncoose Estate to be one of the first to hire this historic building that is such a huge part of our story.

Whether you’re a family who visit Cornwall every year, or a couple looking for the perfect setting for your wedding with space for the full bridal party, the Burncoose Estate property collection can cater for all. It can be hired out individually or as a collective by you and your loved ones today!
